New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and New York follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Ordered a cake for my elopement ceremony. It was melted and toppled. But worse, the inscription was ugly and crooked, nothing like their sample pictures (I requested in my order form cursive and to match their sample pics.) Ofcourse when you get these vintage looking cakes, the font and text is extremely important to the look. Cake was only unrefrigerated for 20 mins between pickup and drop off to venue, no correctly refrigerated cake should slide like that. I reached out to them about my disappointment and they brushed me off, despite telling them this was for a special occasion, and at least their inscriptions should match their pictures. Edit: don’t understand response, I’ve emailed you regarding this. Cakes can slip, IF they are not refrigerated correctly. Even if it was passed off fine, no correctly refrigerated cake would do that in 20 mins. I also have reiterated that the inscription was a huge part of my issue with this cake as it ruined the entire look. I’m not sure why this company is insisting on arguing with a customer instead of offering any remediation.

What I really love about Claude is how they source ingredients from local farmers’ markets and build their pastries around the seasons. Also good to know their pastries are made with Isigny French butter. No wonder the laminated layers are so flaky, rich, and buttery! Pro tip: go early for the seasonal pastries and sweet corn danish. They were completely sold out when I came after 1PM on the weekend! *Strawberry Danish $8.5 ** New addition to their summer lineup! Flaky, buttery layers filled with creamy custard and sweet-tart compote. Every bite is fruity and sweet, and I love that the glazed pastry stays crunchy. Easily my favorite from this haul. *Sweet Corn Pastry $8.5 The corn is pretty subtle, while I was actually hoping for more corn flavor. The dulce de leche steals the show with its rich, caramel-y sweetness. It’s more like a dessert with a hint of savory corn. *Heirloom Tomato Croissant $8.5 While I wouldn’t say it’s the best heirloom tomato pastry I’ve ever had, I do love how it’s generously topped with shredded aged mimolette for extra savory depth, and the natural tomato flavor really shines through. *Plain Croissant $5.25 * Seriously one of the best plain croiss

Been wanting to check this bakery out cause i saw a google image of their chocolate rasberry cake?? It was some cool looking chocolate cake. But the day I came in.. I didnt see any.. so I decided just to get an iced cappuccino. It was delicious. One of the better ones I've had in the area!! The staff is friendly🧁🧁 Nice little shop with like 3 or 4 small tables

Yes the blackout cake is very good - rich in flavor and a great dessert to share. I’d suggest getting items to-go, it gets crowded easily and the shop itself is too small to fit more than 4 people comfortably.

Claude Bakery in the West Village is an absolute gem. Everything I tried was exceptional — the chocolate cake is genuinely to die for, rich and perfectly balanced, and the crème brûlée croissant is unforgettable with its flaky layers and caramelized top. The coffee was delicious and expertly made, making it the perfect place to slow down and enjoy the moment. You can really taste the quality and care in every bite. A must-visit if you’re in the neighborhood — I’ll definitely be back.
